Monique's Crepes creates hand-crafted authentic French style sweet crepes and savory galettes from traditional batters - a delicious, fresh and healthy alternative to typical fare.
This popular mobile creperie's gourmet touches include house-made vinaigrette, cranberry sauce and salted caramel. Crepes bear creative names: Le Vege has been a long-time favorite with vegetarians: fresh spinach, whipped goat cheese, sauteed mushrooms, herbs and toasted walnuts. A favorite sweet specialty is the Beau Soleil with house made lemon curd and fresh, local strawberries.
Monique strives to deliver a unique and delicious dining experience. Her trucks supports local farmers and orchards whenever possible. We love that they use certified all-compostable packaging for all of their to-go containers, including their plates, boxes, wooden utensils, napkins and cups.
Monique's mother is French and so Monique grew up eating them. But Monique's passion for crepes took her to Brittany, France - the birthplace of crepes - where she obtained her training and certification from Au Soleil Breton, a crepe-making school. Since 2012 Monique's Creperie has been making waves as it brings a truly authentic and unique alternative to other dining fare in the area. It has won the 2012 first prize in the Ashland Strawberry Faire for its strawberry dish, a local fraises-au-chocolat crepe. Richmond Magazine describes Monique's Crepes as "A French Gem Uncovered in RVA."
Monique's Food Truck is frequently invited for fairs and festivals such as South of the James Farmers Market and the food truck courts at the Virginia Historical Society, First Fridays and Hardywood Park Craft Brewery.

Monique's Crepes is available for lunches, dinners and brunches. Her mobile truck comes to any location in Virginia.
The truck offers vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options: her gluten-free batter is made from buckwheat and follows the traditional savory batter from France, which is originally gluten free.
Each event's menu can be customized based on the type of event, the number of people and total budget.
Monique's Crepes is flexible and can provide service at both formal and informal events. Monique's truck typically serves between 60 to 80 people an hour, depending on if the menu is made of sweet or savory crepes (savory takes longer than sweet).
Crepes are made on the spot and not held in a warmer, so the truck is the biggest hit when people are free to order their own crepe over a period of time, rather than at a seated and served affair.
Monique can provide staff who can take orders at parties and can deliver crepes to people where they are seated, so people can mingle inside and do not have to wait. This is especially popular at events with elderly guests and more formal occasions.
Past events include birthdays, graduations, weddings, showers and after-wedding brunches. Monique's Crepes has appeared at private residences, laid-back festivals with large crowds as well as at upscale venues for private affairs.
