Plan your best group event in Richmond, VA
The VCUarts Depot building offers a fantastic venue to host everything from corporate meetings and presentations in the Interdisciplinary Studio (pictured) to elaborate, multi-space special events that utilize the whole building.
Originally built in 1907 as a station for the Richmond/Ashland Electric Line, this building served as a transit hub for passengers moving between the state capital and Ashland, Virginia. It was restored in 2013 and in 2014 won the Vision Award from Urban Land Institute.
Wood tones, skylights, hand crafted furniture, historical and architectural features, and up to date technology makes this beautiful space perfect to impress those new clients or to celebrate a milestone.
In addition to the main space, events can take advantage of the space of 2 galleries downstairs, a 10-person conference room, and a state of the art soundstage with motion capture lab and infinity wall, as well as the VCUarts Depot's 3D printers.
Past events have included banquet-style partis including Bar Mitzvahs, Wedding Anniversaries and Receptions, as well as corporate events such as presentations, meetings, trainings, retreats and career fairs.
The maximum capacity for both sit-down and cocktail-style events is 150.
There is a parking lot nearby at the West Broad Street Parking Deck. Street parking is available after 6pm on weekdays and unlimited on weekends. Event parking is available by request, and information can be found here.
The following free add-ons can be made available with a reservation: a projector and screen with full rack, sound and mac mini; two large smart boards with mac minis; seven movable tall tables; 30 stools; 150 chairs. Additional tables are available for rental.
